Everyday Makeup Routine.

Hey guys! Today's post is my "Everyday" Makeup Routine! I say " Everyday" because realistically, I don't wear makeup everyday. At most I wear makeup about once or twice a week. But instead of calling it my 'Once-or-Twice-a-Week Makeup Routine, I'm just going to roll with 'Everyday Makeup Routine'!
Another thing that I should point out is that this look is by no means a 'full-coverage' 'flawless-face' look. The aim is to make me feel good about myself. To make me feel like somebody who has their life sorted out and is in control, and I most certainly am not someone who has their life figured out! (Basically, I'm playing dress up!)

Without any more rambling, let's see what I use on my face!

1. The first product I use is the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in the shade soft beige. To blend all that in, I use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. For this look, I don't use any concealer (I do not have time for all that!), so if I need more coverage in certain areas, I just use the foundation on my finger and blend, blend, blend!

2. To set all that into place I use the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in the colour silky beige. I press the powder into my skin using the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. I pat rather than blend the powder as I don't want to move the foundation I've just applied.

3. Next I contour my face using the Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette in Light using the Real Techniques Contour Brush . I use the dark colour under my cheekbones, around the forehead and down the sides of the nose to add definition to my face. Sometimes (depending on how much time I have!), I use the lightest shade on the tops of my cheekbones, the cupid's bow and on my forehead. This gives a really nice glow to the face without it looking glittery!

4.For blush I use this (well-loved, and now smashed) Natural Collection powder blush in the colour Pink Cloud. To apply this I use a Essence blush brush.

5. To fill in my eyebrows, I use the Essence Eyebrow Stylist Set with a Real Techniques Brow Brush. I brush them out with just a regular spoolie to get rid of the excess.

6. On the eyes, I use the Sleek Au Naturel Palette. To add shape to my eyes I use a mid-tone colour in the crease with a Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush. To make me look half awake (I need that!) I use a gold shimmer in the inner to the centre part of the eye with a Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush. I use the white shadow under the brow with the same brush too. To make my eyelashes look really thick and black (genetics didn't do me well in that department), I use the Real Techniques Accent Brush to push a black eyeshadow in between my lashes.

7. Finally, I curl my eyelashes with a KIKO eyelash curler and apply a few coats of Maybelline's The Falsies mascara.

And voilĂ , there's how I make myself look semi-decent, in seven easy steps! Let me know what your everyday makeup routine is in the comments below!

(All of the eye brushes are from the Real Techniques Starter Set and I have a review here)
