I know it’s a bit late for a November/December chat, but I was always late with these anyway! I actually can’t believe it’s the 11th January today! That means we are nearly half way through the month, whaaaat?? Anyway, let’s just get on with November and December.
Truth be told, November seems like such a long time ago, and I'm kind of scratching my head as to what I actually did during the month! Mostly, it consisted of getting semi-excited for Christmas and mini bits of Christmas shopping, but of course I went to see Mockingjay Part 1. I had read all the books from the Hunger Games trilogy and in my opinion, the last book was the worst, especially the start of the last book. I wasn't very pushed about going to see it as I thought it would be useless and depressing, but I decided to go because a group of friends were going and I had seen the previous two movies, so I said I might as well! And I am so glad I did! It was way better than I had anticipated and I am so so so so excited for the finale because I think it will be amazing. Part of the reason I thought it was great was the fact that I hadn't even been near a cinema in months and months and months! I mean, I didn't even see The Fault In Our Stars ,I know, right?
As you can imagine, December was all about Christmas shopping, studying for Christmas tests and just Christmas in general. Some people hate Christmas shopping but personally, I love the challenge of trying to find a present for someone. I put a lot of effort into wrapping the presents this year. Usually I throw a bit of wrapping paper around the present then cover it in Sellotape and bob’s your uncle, you have an unsightly, hard to open, present! Being honest I tried to get the present to be either in a box or rectangular so that they were much easier to wrap!
This year’s Christmas Tests have possibly been the most awful, gruelling tests of my life (the results were probably the most awful too!)! I spent hours cramming the night before the tests, which is not recommended, not only was I wrecked for the exams but I also went completely blank inside each exam! FAB!! Anyway it spurred me to study properly and it also made me enjoy my Christmas Holidays even more. I mostly spent Christmas watching the Harry Potter movies tucked up next to the fire and eating regrettable amounts of Roses! But I couldn't get off that easy, on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve I was working at 7 in the morning and I had a History Project due straight after Christmas! Of course we had the last three months to do said project, but as always, I didn't start until the week before. *FACEPALM*.
Moving on from the doom and gloom of school, my brother came home for Christmas! I had mentioned in previous chats that my brother had moved to Spain for work and after 6 months, he was home for a few weeks! And I have to say, things are so much louder with a brother!
That’s all for my (supposedly) monthly chat! Let me know what you got up to over the holiday period!
