Empties #4

For today’s post I'm doing another empties post. I recently had a massive clear out and a lot of my makeup which should have been in this post got thrown out so excuse the lack of makeup products here!

First up on my list is the Garnier Micellar Water. This stuff removes all traces of makeup whether it be on your eyes, lips or face. There is also an eye makeup remover in the same range but I never had a problem with taking off the They’re Real mascara with this. It doesn’t sting my eyes nor does it leave a sticky residue so it’s perfect for those nights where you just want to curl up in bed and totally forget about your makeup as there is no need to rinse. Needless to say, this Micellar water gets a big thumbs up from me.

Another skincare item from Garnier is the Moisture +Matte  oil free moisturiser. It is part of a range of moisturiser which are designed to cater for different skins needs. As the name suggests this one is suited for oily to combination skin as it claims to mattify whilst also keeping the skin soft and supple. Now, I don’t know if the wrong product got into my bottle, but this did the exact opposite of what I was hoping it to do. I felt like this product made my skin shinier and it also left a sticky film over my face which interfered with my foundation. It did moisturise my skin but overall, this was a massive let down!

Sticking with the skincare theme, my next empty is one of Lush’s Fresh Face Masks: Love Lettuce. This is hands down my all-time favourite face mask that I have tried so far. I noticed a difference in my skin from the first time I used it. My acne receded and my skin generally looked refreshed and less red. I am dying to pick this up again as soon as I can!

My last skincare item is another mask, this time it is the Ionic Clay Mask from Boots Botanics . I didn’t like it quite as much as the Lush one as it didn’t give me the instantaneous results like the other one. It deep cleaned my face and left it feeling fresh and matte but it didn’t draw out impurities like it claimed it would. It was also a bit of a mess to use and I learned the hard way that it is best to use it in the shower! It wasn’t the worst face mask I have ever used, but I think I will stick to the Love Lettuce form now on!

Moving on to hair, the next  empty is my Colab Dry Shampoo. I mentioned in my last post that it was the best dry shampoo I have ever used. It is the perfect dry shampoo; it doesn’t leave a white cast, it doesn’t irritate my scalp and it also has a nice smell. Since I have finished this bottle, I have already gone out and bought the full size, so that has to say something!

My final empty is another hair related product, the I LoveJuicy shampoo from Lush. I have mentioned this in my hair routine and I said that I use it to deep clean my hair or to wash out a hair mask. It’s nice to have a deep cleaning shampoo in your stash but I don’t think that it is absolutely necessary to have. Since I have finished this, I haven’t been missing it too much so I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing it in the near future.

And that’s all for this week’s post. Let me know if you have used any of these products before and what you think of them.
